Why Naga

What Sets Our Approach Apart

Movement-First Thinking

Every decision starts with the movement, not the cosmetics. We assess what the watch actually needs and communicate that clearly before work begins.

Written Condition Notes

After assessment, you receive a plain-language note on what was found, what was done, and what to consider next. No guesswork.

Decisions Made Together

Especially on restorations, we involve you at each significant step. Nothing irreversible is done without your agreement.

Respect for Age and Patina

Older dials, original lacquer, and aged cases are treated as part of the watch's story — not surfaces to erase and refinish.

Timing Regulated Properly

Overhauls include multi-position timing regulation on a calibrated timegrapher. A watch should keep time well in the positions it is actually worn.

Local to Ayutthaya

We are based in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and welcome visits by appointment. Your watch does not need to travel far for thoughtful service.

Common Questions

Things People Often Ask

How do I know which service my watch needs?

The Service Assessment & Clean is a good starting point for most watches. After we examine the piece, we share a written condition note explaining what we found and whether a fuller overhaul makes sense. There is no obligation to proceed further.

Do you work on automatic and manual-wind movements?

Yes. We work on both automatic and manual-wind mechanical movements. If you are unsure what type of movement your watch has, we can help you identify it when you bring it in.

Can you restore a watch that has not run in many years?

Often, yes. Long-dormant watches need a careful assessment first to understand the condition of the movement, oils, and mainspring. We will advise you honestly on what is realistic before any work is agreed.

How long does the work take?

A Service Assessment & Clean takes roughly 1–2 weeks. A Movement Overhaul is around 3 weeks. Heirloom Restoration takes 6–9 weeks, depending on the complexity and any parts that need sourcing.

Will you polish the case as part of the service?

Not automatically. We believe case polishing should be a conscious choice, especially on vintage pieces where original brushing and edges are part of the watch's character. If you would like case work, we will discuss the options with you first.

What payment options are available?

We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer, and major debit or credit cards. A deposit may be requested for restoration work before parts are sourced.
